In brief
In brief
A drawer full of clothes that nearly fit can become a daily referendum on your body. You get dressed for the life you actually have while a quieter voice insists that comfort would mean giving up. Weight and shape changes are commonly reported around this stage, but the emotional impact is personal. It may touch identity, sexuality, ageing, visibility or years of being taught that smaller always meant better.
You are allowed to remove the friction now. Buy or borrow the trousers that close easily. Put the punishing item out of sight. Choose movement because it makes you feel capable, not because you must compensate for occupying space. If you want to change your body, you can still do that from a position of care and realistic structure. Daily discomfort is not a motivational tool.
