1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created as you use the app, and limited information needed to run the service.
- Account information: your email address, first name, sign-in details, and account identifiers managed through Supabase Authentication.
- Profile and fitness information: your training location, current weight, goal weight, weight unit, previous-attempt answers, and other onboarding inputs used to shape your plan.
- Plan and progress information: your active plan, workout completions, streaks, weight logs, water logs, sleep logs, and related in-app progress history.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active GlowUp subscription and related entitlement state. Payments themselves are processed by Apple, not by GlowUp.
- Support communications: information you send us when you contact support.
- Usage analytics: event names, timestamps, event properties, your user ID when available, and a pseudonymous session ID stored on your device so we can understand basic product usage and improve the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your GlowUp account.
- To generate your personalized 28-day plan and deliver your workouts inside the app.
- To save your progress, habits, and plan history.
- To verify and manage subscription access.
- To send reminders and notifications when you enable them.
- To monitor product usage, investigate issues, and improve the app experience.
- To respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
3. AI Plan Generation
GlowUp uses Anthropic's Claude models through a server-side Supabase Edge Function to generate workout plans. The inputs sent for plan generation can include your first name, training location, current weight, goal weight, weight unit, and previous-attempt context when you provide that information.
We do not place the AI provider API key inside the app bundle. Plan generation is performed on the server side.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run GlowUp, or when required by law.
- Supabase: for authentication, database storage, and secure server-side functions.
- Anthropic: for AI workout-plan generation.
- Apple: for App Store billing, subscriptions, and related purchase status.
- Legal or safety disclosures: when we believe disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, us, or others.
5. Notifications and On-Device Storage
GlowUp uses local device storage to remember app settings and a pseudonymous session ID. It also stores your notification preferences and reminder times on your device.
When you enable notifications, GlowUp schedules workout and habit reminders locally on your device through Notifee. You can disable notifications at any time in the app or in your iPhone settings.
6. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations.
GlowUp includes in-app account deletion. When you delete your account from Settings, we delete the account and associated app data, subject to limited retention in backups or where law requires otherwise.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- You can update parts of your profile inside the app.
- You can disable notifications in the app or in iOS settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
- You can delete your account in the app or contact us for privacy-related requests at support@theglowupapp.fit.
8. Security and International Processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled through GlowUp. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
GlowUp and its service providers may process data in countries other than your own. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions where our providers operate.
9. Children
GlowUp is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we may update this page, revise the effective date above, or notify users through the app when appropriate.
