Build one protein-forward meal

Use what you already eat and make it a little more supportive—no special products required.

In brief

In brief

Choose the next meal you are genuinely likely to eat. Protein supports the maintenance and repair of body tissues, including muscle, but this is not a contest to maximise a number. Your overall needs depend on health, body size, age and activity, and some conditions require individual dietary advice.

  • Start with a familiar protein source: eggs, Greek-style yoghurt, fish, chicken, tofu, lentils, beans or another suitable choice.
  • Add a fibre-rich carbohydrate or vegetable: oats, wholegrain bread, rice, potatoes with skin, beans, fruit or salad.
  • Add flavour and satisfaction with herbs, spices, olive oil, nuts, seeds, yoghurt or a sauce you enjoy.
  • Make enough for one repeat meal if tomorrow is likely to be busy. Convenience is part of the plan.
